City Center

.... already realizing that I have no good pictures of Stuttgart. But I guess this is a start. This is the "market square", heart of the old city. It is the most traditional looking place in the whole city. On Saturday mornings it hosts a beautiful flower market. The church in the background is the city church of Stuttgart, by law no building can be built higher than its tower. Curiously, it is extremely modern inside with a triangulated glass ceiling. The big class clube is just around the corner from the old square and houses Stuttgart's new modern art museum. This old and new mix is typical for Stuttgart, as 80% of it was leveled during WWII. So, there is a lot of cool modern architecture around and mixed in with the old stuff.
