Entropy (n) : A tendency towards disorder within a closed system, as potential energy gets "spent". A term I always remembered by thinking of my bedroom and its unescapable path towards disaster. And Grace, the charming nickname from my family due to an unavoidable habbit of falling up stairs

I particularly like your title. The wikipedia definition of entropy left me cracking up at the implications. Especially notice the textbook definitions, which do a fine job of describing my unique form of organization system and the related terms. One related term, black hole entropy, I believe explains the phenomena of saving odd socks when the mates have been missing for long periods of time.
Also, negentropy, a term describing annoyingly organized people who have a monthly subscription to Organize magazine and are signed up for Bin-of-the-Month Club.
